Representatives of the Agency for Innovative Development participated in the “Taj-Tech–2026” International Technology Forum and Exhibition held in Dushanbe. The event was organized at the initiative of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and brought together representatives from 41 countries.
As part of the forum, a practical seminar dedicated to the commercialization of scientific developments in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was also held.
The seminar, titled “Commercialization of Scientific Developments: Effective Mechanisms for Technology Transfer, Attracting Investment and Entering the Market”, was organized in two sessions. The discussions focused on the commercialization of scientific developments, the establishment of spin-off companies at universities and research organizations, project financing, and the introduction of innovative products to the market.
Representatives of the Agency provided information on Uzbekistan’s innovation ecosystem, mechanisms for selecting and supporting scientific projects, the opportunities offered by the “INNO” and “Yashnabad” technoparks, as well as regional innovation infrastructure.
In particular, the presentation titled “From Scientific Development to a Ready-Made Product: Attracting Domestic and Foreign Investment — Uzbekistan’s Experience” covered the MUNIS and SATREPS international projects, venture capital funds, and sources of financing for scientific projects at various stages of their development.
It was emphasized that, when attracting investment, particular importance should be attached to a project focused on addressing a specific problem, a scientifically developed solution that has been tested, and an in-depth assessment of market demand.
The event contributed to the exchange of experience between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the commercialization of scientific developments, the expansion of cooperation with technology companies, and the discussion of new opportunities for advancing regional innovation cooperation.
