Employees Who Read the Highest Number of Books Will Receive a Cash Bonus Equivalent to One Month’s Salary

The meeting comprehensively reviewed the measures being implemented by the Agency to ensure the execution of the tasks set forth in Resolution No. PQ–9 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated 15 January 2026. In particular, it was noted that, in accordance with the provisions of the Resolution, consistent efforts are being undertaken to promote a strong reading culture among employees and to make reading an integral part of their daily professional activities.
Participants exchanged views on introducing “Reading Hour” every Friday, establishing “Book Corners” throughout the Agency, encouraging employees to read fiction, popular science and professional literature, and providing incentives for employees who read the greatest number of books. In addition, proposals were put forward to systematically organize book discussions, meetings with authors, book exchange campaigns, and recognition programmes for the Agency’s most active readers.
It was emphasized that the effective implementation of the tasks assigned by the Head of State in this area will contribute not only to strengthening the culture of reading but also to enhancing employees’ intellectual capacity, analytical thinking skills, and professional competencies.
Following the meeting, relevant conclusions and tasks were adopted to ensure the high-quality implementation of the requirements set forth in the Presidential Resolution, further strengthen the reading culture within the Agency, establish reading as an integral component of the Agency’s corporate culture, and consistently continue practical initiatives in this field.
As noted during the meeting, such initiatives aimed at promoting reading play an important role in strengthening human capital, fostering an intellectually and spiritually enriched environment, and developing highly qualified professionals with innovative thinking, advanced knowledge, and a broad outlook.
