Behind these numbers lies the hard work of young people who believe in science, constantly improve themselves, and aim for new milestones. Today, on June 30, "Youth Day," the Innovation Development Agency hosted an award ceremony where certificates were presented to 36 young winners of the "Academic Mobility" contest.
Interest in this year's competition was higher than ever. While a total of just over 800 applications were received over the past four years, more than 600 documents were submitted for the first contest of 2026 alone. This clearly shows that the passion for scientific research is steadily growing in our country.
Analyzing the data by region, Tashkent has taken the lead, surpassing the Surkhandarya region, which had held the top spot for the number of winners since 2025. This shift reflects a growing healthy competition and a rising pursuit of knowledge across different regions.
Another major milestone is that, for the first time, all stages of the contest were organized using artificial intelligence technologies. According to Kamoliddin Yakubov, a contest winner from Jizzakh, the selection process was completely transparent and unbiased.
"Academic Mobility" is more than just a certificate. It represents new knowledge, fresh experience, scientific collaboration, and the next open door toward fulfilling big dreams. We hope that each of the 36 young individuals who received their certificates today will make a significant contribution to the future development of science and innovation.
As a reminder, applications for the "Academic Mobility" (2026-2) contest are currently open and ongoing.
