Educational and Preventive Event “Youth Against Drugs!” Held at Karshi State University

On the occasion of 26 June — the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, a large-scale educational and preventive event under the slogan “Youth Against Drugs!” was held at Karshi State University through the cooperation of the Kashkadarya Regional Department of the Agency for Innovative Development and the Karshi Youth Technopark.
The primary objective of the event, attended by university faculty members, students, and industry specialists, was to prevent drug abuse and drug-related crimes among young people, raise awareness of the devastating consequences of this social ill that has become a global challenge, and enhance the legal and social responsibility of the younger generation.
During the event, experts delivered presentations highlighting the destructive impact of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances on human health, mental well-being, and societal development. Using practical examples, they explained the severe consequences associated with substance abuse and provided detailed information on the strict criminal liabilities established by legislation for offences related to narcotic and psychotropic substances.
The specialists also emphasized that the Government is creating comprehensive opportunities for young people to acquire modern knowledge and technologies, develop innovative ideas, and implement startup projects. In this regard, it was stressed that every young person should take responsibility for their future and remain committed to a healthy lifestyle, free from harmful habits and destructive influences.
At the conclusion of the event, students received answers to their questions and were provided with valuable recommendations on how to make effective use of the opportunities offered by the Karshi Youth Technopark, demonstrate their intellectual potential, embrace a healthy lifestyle, and pursue a constructive and successful path in life.
