Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan: Cooperation in Science and Innovation Expands

Today, April 20, an official meeting was held at the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the leadership of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the discussions, the parties addressed a number of key areas aimed at enhancing the scientific potential of both countries and accelerating innovation-driven development. In particular, special attention was given to organizing a joint Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan call for scientific projects, as well as agreeing on its priority areas to promote innovative research.
In addition, opportunities were explored for holding joint scientific conferences and technology forums within the framework of the international innovation week “InnoWeek.Uz”. An initiative was also proposed to organize a national pavilion of Azerbaijan to showcase innovative companies and their products during the event.
The meeting also covered the implementation of internship programs aimed at improving the qualifications of young scientists and facilitating mutual exchange of experience between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to intensify practical cooperation across all discussed areas, consistently advance joint initiatives, and maintain ongoing dialogue.
