Uzbekistan and China Are Advancing Scientific and Technical Cooperation to a New Level

On April 16, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Oktam Salomov is participating in the 7th meeting of the Subcommittee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation under the Uzbekistan–China Intergovernmental Commission, held in the People’s Republic of China.
During the official visit, members of the delegation discussed prospects for cooperation with Chongqing University in the fields of higher education and scientific research. Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed on the implementation of advanced developments in architecture and engineering, as well as on establishing technology transfer mechanisms.
In addition, the delegation members familiarized themselves with innovative production processes at the Seres (AITO) and Changan automobile plants, and closely examined the activities of the China–Uzbekistan Joint Urban Planning Laboratory.
These activities are aimed at further strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries in science, innovation, and high technologies, as well as expanding joint scientific and innovation projects.
