“Prevention of dust and sand uplift in desertifying areas and degraded pastures”

AppliedA call is announced for the submission of applied research and innovative projects under state scientific programs on the topic:
“Prevention of dust and sand uplift in desertifying areas and degraded pastures.”
The competition is organized within the framework of priority research areas in accordance with Clause 19 of Annex 1 to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-338 dated September 24, 2024, titled “On priority measures to combat dust storms and improve air quality.”
The competition is held in compliance with the requirements of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 133 dated March 9, 2020.
Fields of science:
- Architecture, construction, design, and urban planning
- Information and communication technologies
- Biology and biotechnology
- Ecology, environmental protection, and climate change
- Chemistry and nanotechnology
- Forestry, soil science, and plant protection
- Agriculture
- Engineering and technical sciences
- Earth sciences
Based on the results of scientific evaluation, one project with the highest score in each field will be recommended for funding.
Submission period: from April 30 to May 31, 2026 (until 23:55) via the electronic platform loyiha.ilmiy.uz.
Key requirements:
- Eligible participants: research organizations with relevant capacity
- One project per project leader
- Clear justification of expected final results (product, technology, etc.)
- Duration: up to 1 year
- Budget: up to 2000 base calculation units (BCU)
- Average team age: not exceeding 45 years
- Support letter from relevant authorities required
- Applications must be submitted in Uzbek (Latin script)
For IT-related projects, applicants must include software registration, ensure continuous operation, and allocate at least three years of hosting and domain expenses.
