On March 25-28, Gulzhan Hallyeva, the deputy head of the Department of Labour Relations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Turkmenistan, leads a delegation of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan.

On March 27, the delegation of Turkmenistan met with the leadership and members of the sub-commission on combating human trafficking at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. A representative from the sub-commission presented to the delegation of Turkmenistan the positive experience achieved by Uzbekistan in combating human trafficking.

The Turkmen delegation was very interested in the work being done to combat human trafficking in Uzbekistan. According to the meeting results, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation between the two countries in combating human trafficking, in particular, to protect the victims of this crime and increase the effectiveness of the investigation and investigative actions between the relevant law enforcement agencies on offences related to human trafficking in a broader sense. They determined the main objectives for the exchange of experience and future cooperation.
