Within the framework of the International Development Association project “Strengthening Institutional Capacity and Transformation of the Treasury System”, the Treasury Service Committee held a regular meeting with experts from the international audit and consulting corporation “PricewaterhouseCoopers Uzbekistan” (PwC), which is one of the “big four” audit companies, on February 17-21 this year.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Treasury Service Committee Abdulaziz Khaidarov, heads of departments and other representatives of the treasury.
On behalf of PwC, Konstantin Suplatov, Vladimir Karyakin, Gaukhar Zhekpeldinova and Lazat Takibaeva participated.
During the meetings, PwC experts provided a report on the study and diagnostics of the treasury system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as a report with an overview of the definition and distribution of the main functional duties and responsibilities of ministries in the field of risk management in the budget execution process.
The main conclusions on international practices after a comparative review of state treasuries of countries from different regions were also discussed.
Following the meeting, reviews and recommendations proposed by PwC for development in key areas in each department were considered, taking into account their specific needs, focusing on methodological and organizational aspects, as well as on the implementation of an automation system.
