Adminstration of the Fergana Region

A roundtable discussion on combating corruption was held at the building of the Fergana district hokimiyat. The event was attended by deputies of the district Council of People’s Deputies, representatives of the hokimiyat, civil society institutions, and the mass media.

During the meeting, Ziyodbek Yunusov, Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, emphasized that corruption is not only a violation of the law but also a serious threat to the sustainable development of the state.

Indeed, corruption undermines public trust in state institutions, slows down economic growth, and leads to the erosion of justice principles in society. In turn, this negatively affects citizens’ social activity and their confidence in the future.
