Every year on September 20, World Cleanup Day unites people around the idea of striving for cleanliness and order in their living environment. The initiative began in Estonia in 2008, when 50,000 volunteers came together to rid the country of waste.
This year, the international campaign was widely marked in our country under the slogan “Give Space to Life,” bringing together millions of volunteers. In this regard, an eco-action also started early in the morning at the “Satkak” pilgrimage site in Fergana District.
During the campaign, participants were provided with all the necessary equipment for cleaning the area — gloves, garbage bags, as well as T-shirts and caps bearing the World Cleanup Day emblem.
To ensure quality cleaning and waste removal, special vehicles of the “Toza Hudud” State Unitary Enterprise and regional sanitation companies were mobilized.
