Cotton growers in Fergana District have exceeded their contractual target for cotton production this year and are bringing the season to a close with strong results.
This year, cotton was cultivated on 5,300 hectares by 60 farms and one cotton cluster in the district. Thanks to timely agricultural operations, the effective use of modern technologies, and the dedicated work of cotton growers, a total of 25,919 tonnes of raw cotton was harvested.
14 modern cotton-picking machines were deployed during the harvesting campaign. The well-organized work helped ensure efficient crop collection.
Among the farms that achieved high yields, particular mention should be made of “Alijon Dilshod baraka,” “Yo‘lchimurod,” “Burxoniddin Baxodirjon,” “Agro hosilot davomchilari,” “Rustam Abdurahmon zamini,” “Mirzo yangi niholi,” “Dostonbek Abdubannop,” “Sherzodbek Shohijahon,” “Odil Muhammad Nizomov,” “Chimyon bo‘stoni,” and “Buloqboshi yangiyeri,” as well as DNSU.
These results reflect the impact of agricultural reforms, the opportunities created for farmers, and the collective efforts of those working in the sector.
Although the contractual target has been met, some cotton still remains to be harvested in the fields. The current priority is to collect the crop on time and to a high standard before the rainy season begins.
