The Information Service of the Fergana District Hokimiyat (local administration) issues the following statement regarding a video appeal circulated on social media criticizing certain traders for conducting business alongside the road near the market in Avval village, Fergana District, in a manner that obstructs the movement of vehicles.
The appeal has been taken under the supervision of the district administration. A working group has been established to thoroughly investigate the situation and determine the measures necessary to address the problem.
The working group is currently examining the impact of roadside trading on the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, as well as whether the trading activities comply with established requirements and regulations. In cooperation with the responsible organizations, the group plans to identify appropriate measures to address any shortcomings, ensure road safety, and regulate trading activities. Explanatory discussions with the traders are also planned.
Furthermore, within the framework of implementing Resolution No. PQ-5 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 12, 2026, a proposal to establish a new market is planned to be included in the master plan currently under development. This initiative is intended to address the existing problem systematically, relocate the market to a new and more spacious area, and create convenient conditions for the free movement of residents and vehicles.
Appropriate measures will be taken to resolve the issue based on the findings of the investigation.
