Adminstration of the Fergana Region

To ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in paragraph 2 of Presidential Order No. F-40 dated July 20, 2026, “On Measures to Organize International Events Held in Cooperation with the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Samarkand at a High Level,” as well as within the framework of the “Sustainable Development Goals Month,” an educational seminar on “Gender Equality: Rights and Opportunities” was held at the District Information and Library Center of Fergana Region.

The event was organized jointly by the Fergana Regional Department of Family and Women and the Fergana District Department of Family and Women.

The seminar was attended by specialists and experts from the regional Department of Family and Women, women’s activists from the mahallas of Fergana District, representatives of the local population, and representatives of partner organizations.

During the event, participants discussed issues related to ensuring gender equality, expanding women’s rights and opportunities, increasing their social activity in society, ensuring equal opportunities in education and employment, as well as fostering healthy and equal relationships within families.

Regional specialists and experts provided explanations and recommendations on gender equality, protection of women’s legal rights and interests, and effective use of available opportunities.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants exchanged views on the topic and put forward proposals to further strengthen awareness-raising and outreach activities on gender equality in the mahallas.
