Adminstration of the Fergana Region

The Grand Master Cup international Taekwondo WT tournament, held at the Universal Sports Complex in Tashkent and organized for the prizes of world champion and Olympic silver medalist Svetlana Osipova, has concluded.

Among the participants representing the Fergana Region team was Samira Tohirjonova, a fifth-grade student of Secondary School No. 20 in Fergana District, who proudly represented her district in the prestigious competition for juniors, cadets, and youth athletes.

Competing in her weight category, the young athlete outperformed all of her opponents to claim first place and earn the title of international tournament champion.

This outstanding achievement reflects the positive results of the ongoing reforms aimed at promoting physical education and sports, supporting talented young athletes, and encouraging broader youth participation in sports across the country.

The Fergana District Hokimiyat, the Fergana District Council of People's Deputies, and the wider public sincerely congratulate Samira Tohirjonova on this remarkable victory and wish her continued success, many more championship titles, and the honor of raising the flag of Uzbekistan even higher at future international competitions.
