A seminar on persimmon cultivation was held in Fergana district with the participation of a Japanese professor

A delegation led by Professor Yoshiko Kawabata from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (Japan) visited the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the delegation became closely acquainted with the activities of the “mahalla seven” system in the “Xonqiz” neighborhood citizens’ assembly of Fergana district.
They also studied households specializing in persimmon cultivation, as well as a 3-hectare persimmon orchard established on land leased to entrepreneur Sh. Akbarov.
Within the framework of the visit, a training seminar was organized in the “Xonqiz” mahalla with the participation of local residents engaged in persimmon cultivation. During the seminar, a presentation by Professor Yoshiko Kawabata was delivered on persimmon cultivation, agronomic care, and yield improvement.
The seminar provided participants with important recommendations on studying international experience, implementing modern approaches, and improving the efficiency of persimmon production.
