At the household of Xolisxon Rahimberdiyeva, a resident of Kurash Street in the “Qoʻrgʻontepa” neighborhood citizens’ assembly of Fergana district, five boxes of silkworms were raised this season, and cocoon harvesting began among the first in the district.
Experienced silk farmer Xolisxon opa has been engaged in silkworm breeding for 38 years. This season, all eight family members worked together and successfully produced a rich harvest.
She also happily noted that last year she was able to perform the Umrah pilgrimage using the income earned from sericulture.
During the harvesting process, Fergana district governor Nodirjon Mashrapov and deputy governors visited the household, wished the family a blessed harvest, and presented commemorative gifts.
It was also announced that 70 sheets of slate roofing material would be allocated to help cover the roof of the house. The family members expressed sincere gratitude for the attention and care shown to them.
At the same time, cocoon harvesting activities are gradually beginning in the Logʻon area of the district as well.
