Led by A. Mavlonov, representatives of the Customs Committee conducted an on-site study of the “Fergana” border customs post under the Fergana regional customs administration.
During the study, the existing conditions, the system for organizing the movement of citizens and vehicles, as well as measures to reduce queues and increase throughput were thoroughly reviewed.
It was reported that more than 2 million passengers pass through this post annually. During the summer holiday season, the flow of people traveling toward Shohimardon increases sharply, reaching up to 15,000 per day. Throughout the year, approximately 330,000 vehicles pass through the post, while in summer this figure exceeds 1,200 per day.
During the visit, issues such as constructing a canopy along the pedestrian path, removing concrete barriers at the entrance, and further improving the area were discussed.
Following the study, officials were given clear instructions to eliminate factors hindering throughput, improve service quality, and ensure efficient movement of citizens and vehicles.
