An important investment project aimed at efficient use of water resources, sustainable agricultural development, and modernization of irrigation systems has been successfully implemented in the Fergana district.
In particular, within the framework of the “Fergana Valley Water Resources Management. Phase-2” project, the “Avval-Logon” pumping station was constructed in the “Birdamlik” neighborhood by the Chinese company China Nuclear Industry 22nd Construction Co. LTD with an investment of approximately $30 million during 2025–2026.
The grand opening ceremony of the facility was held with broad public participation. The event was attended by Deputy Governor of Fergana region for agriculture and water management Alibek Tursunov, Head of the “Syrdarya–Sokh” Irrigation Systems Basin Authority Fakhriddin Tursunov, Head of the Regional Pumping Stations Operation Department Alohiddin Muqimjonov, Fergana District Hokim Khamidullo Inomov, along with officials, community representatives, and elders.
The station, fully compliant with modern technical standards, is equipped with three units of ASP350-780R.6 type with a capacity of 2000 kW each. It enables water delivery over a distance of 9.3 km through pipes with a diameter of 1200 mm at a flow rate of 0.670 cubic meters per second. The efficiency rate of the station reaches 85–90%.
The station draws water from the Margilansoy canal and delivers it to the Logon canal, with a capacity of 2 cubic meters per second. This project will significantly improve water supply for approximately 4,754 hectares of agricultural land.
Participants of the event were introduced to the station’s capabilities, modern equipment, and automated control system.
