Appeal of the members of the Presidium of the Farmers’ Council of Uzbekistan to all dedicated farmers, dehkans, and agricultural enterprises

Dear farmers, dehkans, and devoted workers of the agricultural sector,

Your creative and dedicated labor has for centuries been the foundation of our people’s prosperity and abundance, and has always been highly appreciated.

Today, ensuring food security has become a priority not only for sustainable agricultural development but also for improving public welfare and mitigating the effects of climate change.

The Head of our State, during the nationwide Navruz celebrations, expressed deep respect for hardworking farmers and dehkans, recognizing their honorable contribution to providing abundance for the people and emphasizing that state support will continue.

Inspired by this support and realizing that ensuring food security is one of the most urgent tasks requiring responsibility and active participation from each of us, we call on you to organize the rapid planting of potatoes, vegetables, and melons, fully meet domestic demand, and contribute to stabilizing market prices.

Every piece of land is an opportunity. Its rational use is not only a personal benefit but also a contribution to the prosperity of our country. Let us cultivate every inch of land!

Let us act together to ensure abundance on our people’s tables and further prosperity of our nation!

Today, we must not forget that supplying the population with agricultural products, delivering them to consumers, and preventing price increases in markets is our primary task.

Agricultural production is of strategic importance and is also a source of good income for farmers and dehkans. In particular, potato cultivation is one of the most essential food products for the population.

Therefore, increasing production volumes, ensuring price stability, and reducing dependence on imports are among today’s most urgent priorities.

Let us work together for the development of our country! Within the framework of the “urgent one-month campaign,” effectively use field edges and complete the planting of crops, especially potatoes, vegetables, and melons.

In addition, make effective use of garden and row spaces by planting additional vegetable crops, increasing productivity and product diversity, and thereby contributing to the prosperity of our country.

Dear farmers,
To ensure food security and achieve high yields, it is essential during March–April (the “urgent one-month campaign”) to carry out timely sowing and agrotechnical measures. In this regard, we urge you to strictly implement the following actions:

• firstly, complete the planting of potatoes, vegetables, and melons in open fields according to the crop placement plan;
• secondly, within 10 days, organize planting along field edges with vegetables, melons, oil crops, legumes, or corn;
• thirdly, strengthen cooperation with research institutions and use high-quality certified seeds;
• fourthly, make use of bank loans for potato cultivation — up to 50% of the crop value, at 12% annual interest for 12 months with a 6-month grace period;
• fifthly, widely introduce water-saving technologies and use available benefits;
• sixthly, take effective measures against diseases and pests, use fertilizers according to standards, and achieve high yields.

Dear farmers and dehkans,
We call on all of you to effectively use all available land areas, including field edges and inter-row spaces, and complete the planting of potatoes and other crops in a short time.

Let us organize agricultural planting with such enthusiasm that every citizen of Uzbekistan feels like a farmer!

May you always feel pride in the achievements of our farmers and demonstrate dedication in serving the people and the nation!

We call on all of you to actively participate in these noble efforts, contribute достойно to the development of our economy and the prosperity of our Motherland, and ensure timely planting and high yields!
