First of all, I sincerely congratulate you on the holy month of Ramadan and on the occasion of March 8 — International Women’s Day. I express my deep respect and best wishes to all of you.

We always look forward to this wonderful holiday with great joy and excitement, because it marks the arrival of spring — the season of renewal and prosperity.

Women and mothers are the true source of kindness, compassion and love. Thanks to you, such noble values as mercy, justice, loyalty and devotion have been preserved throughout the centuries.

Today, large-scale reforms are being implemented in our country, and the role of women in these processes is invaluable. Within the framework of the Development Strategy, the Law “On Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men” has elevated gender equality to the level of state policy.

Consistent work in this direction is also being carried out in Fergana district. Currently, 7 women serve as deputies in the district Council of People’s Deputies.

In recent years, several women of our district have been awarded state and honorary badges. Significant attention is also being given to improving the living and working conditions of women.

Last year, 6,077 women were included in the “Women’s Register”, and employment was provided for 5,424 of them. Many women were trained in professional skills and entrepreneurship, while others received equipment to start their own businesses.
