Adminstration of the Fergana Region

On the initiative of the Secretariat of the People’s Deputies Council of Fergana District, the next meeting of the Standing Commission on “Agriculture, Water Management, and Environmental Issues” was held. The meeting was chaired by Commission Chair Muyassar Tojiboeva.

During the meeting, the development of the agricultural sector, implementation of adopted decisions, and work carried out in the district under state programs were discussed in detail. Special attention was given to existing problems and measures to address them.

During discussions, some responsible officials were sharply criticized for not attending the meeting and for failing to submit the required reports on time. In particular, the irresponsible attitude of officials from the district agriculture department, the plant quarantine and protection department, and the Farmers’ Council drew serious remarks from commission members. It was proposed to send inquiries to regional departments to take appropriate measures regarding this issue.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that discipline, personal responsibility, and efficiency of execution are priority tasks in the commission’s work, and relevant recommendations were provided.
