An open dialogue was organized at the Fergana District Hokimiyat within the framework of the “Social Prevention Week,” led by the district hokim, Khamidullo Inomov, and the district prosecutor, Oybek Toshpulatov. The event was attended by heads and deputies of local law enforcement agencies, responsible officers, mahalla prevention inspectors, as well as leaders of enterprises and organizations.
During the open dialogue, the work carried out during the week was analyzed, and planned tasks were discussed. In addition, the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 5, 2026 (PQ–1), and the assignments outlined at the video conference chaired by the President on January 27 of this year were thoroughly reviewed, including combating organized crime, drug-related offenses, cybercrimes, and the shadow economy.
The district hokim highlighted the essence of the newly introduced system and its effective implementation in Fergana district. Positive results in timely crime prevention were noted, but high crime rates in certain areas and shortcomings in the work of local organizations were also criticized. Appropriate measures were determined to address the identified problems.
Additionally, given the district’s location in the border area, responsible officials were given specific instructions and directives to ensure public safety. The district prosecutor emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation among all responsible agencies and reinforce law enforcement.
At the end of the dialogue, an agreement was reached on the measures to be implemented in the future.
