Adminstration of the Fergana Region

The 18th session of the Fergana District Council of People’s Deputies of the seventh convocation was held. The session was attended by the district council deputies, the head of Fergana district and his deputies, heads of enterprises and organizations, media representatives, and civil society activists. The session was chaired by the Chairman of the District Council, Bahodir Ahmadjonov.

The agenda included the following issues:

• Implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 3, 2025, “On measures to create a safe environment in the republic’s mahallas in 2025 and improve the efficiency of the system for preventing offenses”;

• The state of legality and crime situation in the district during 2025 as reported by the Fergana District Prosecutor’s Office;

• Measures to prevent offenses and maintain public order in the regions;

• Norm-setting activities of state bodies and law enforcement practice;

• Standardization of geographical object names and their inclusion in the state registry;

• Activities of organization heads for the comprehensive socio-economic development of the districts;

• Results of the “Initiative Budget” process for the 4th quarter;

• Changes to the composition of the working commission for monitoring public opinion;

• Additionally, amendments and additions to the composition of permanent commissions and their personnel were discussed.

Reports from heads of permanent commissions and responsible organizations were heard, and deputies expressed their opinions and proposals. Draft resolutions on the discussed issues were approved and directed for practical implementation.
