Assalamu alaikum, dear veterans of the defense sector and distinguished participants of today’s event!
First of all, on behalf of the multiethnic population of our district, I sincerely congratulate you on January 14 — Defenders of the Motherland Day. Moreover, I am truly delighted to meet you on this festive occasion at the opening ceremony of the new building of the District Defense Department, which is being officially commissioned today.
On these blessed days, honoring our courageous servicemen who have devoted their lives to the noble mission of defending the Motherland, I express my deep gratitude to all of you for your invaluable service in ensuring the peace and security of our people and our country.
Dear friends!
The role of the defenders of the Motherland in achieving today’s peaceful and tranquil life is truly invaluable. In our district, there are 35 residents who served on the home front during World War II, 258 participants of the military operations in Afghanistan, and 29 participants in the Chernobyl events — all of whom faithfully safeguarded the borders of our homeland.
Special recognition is also due to our brave compatriots who sacrificed their lives while carrying out the responsible duty of protecting the borders of our beloved country, including such courageous sons of our district as Elmurodjon Abdulqosimov and Islombek Urinboev. We will always remember these valiant servicemen with pride and honor and present them as exemplary role models in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism.
Distinguished guests!
Just recently, at an expanded meeting dedicated to peace and security issues, our esteemed President outlined a number of important tasks to be implemented in the field of national defense. It was emphasized that various privileges would be granted to military personnel. In particular, military salaries are set to increase by 20 percent this year and by 50 percent next year. In addition, several benefits will be provided to young people who have completed their compulsory military service, including advantages in admission to higher education institutions and further economic support.
At the meeting, the Head of State stated:
“It is essential to understand one thing. The nature of modern warfare has fundamentally changed. Any country that believes it can achieve victory solely by relying on the number of tanks, aircraft, or soldiers is gravely mistaken. Today’s conflicts are conducted based on artificial intelligence, digital command systems, long-range high-precision strike capabilities, cyber and robotic technologies, as well as political and economic pressure.”
Therefore, it was emphasized that we must never forget, even for a moment, that peace and stability are becoming the most valuable assets.
Dear participants of the event!
At this time, when a festive atmosphere prevails throughout our country, a total of 2 billion 454 million soums has been allocated for the renovation of the District Defense Department building, creating all the necessary modern conditions for conscripts and personnel performing their service duties. As we commission this building on the eve of this holiday, we are confident that you will continue to work with dedication for the peace and prosperity of our Motherland.
Dear defenders of the Motherland!
Once again, I sincerely congratulate you on this auspicious holiday and wish you all good health, family happiness, and great achievements in your noble and responsible service.
Thank you for your attention!
