Winners of the national environmental competition were announced in Khorezm region

The event brought together winning teams from all regions of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Participants showcased their knowledge and talents in various categories, including “This is our territory," "Intellectual ring," "We are all responsible for environment," and "best ecological project."
Young participants also presented their eco-initiatives aimed at environmental conservation, promoting eco-culture and addressing critical issues such as land degradation, climate change, deforestation and water shortages. They also proposed ideas for expanding the community of young ecologists, attracting investments in the environmental sector and tackling other pressing challenges.
Based on the jury’s voting, the Bukhara Region team claimed the prestigious first place, followed by Khorezm Region in second place and Tashkent Region in third. The winning teams and their mentors were awarded cash prizes and diplomas:
1st place – 15 000 000 sums
2nd place – 10 000 000 sums
3rd place – 5 000 000 sums
"Today, we discussed environmental laws and secured second place in the national competition, which we are very happy about. We would like to thank everyone who helped us achieve this result," shared participants from the Khorezm Region team.
The organizers expressed hope that participating in such competitions would inspire young people to take an active role in environmental initiatives and implement projects aimed at improving the ecological situation.
The competition ended with an award ceremony.
