Who will be granted the status of "Eco-Active Citizen"?
According to the project, entrepreneurs who contribute to the greening of the republic—such as by creating fencing around enterprises in the form of "green belts," installing irrigation systems, implementing drip, sprinkler, or container (bag) irrigation methods, and adopting energy-saving equipment and technologies—will be awarded the status of "Green Entrepreneur". These entrepreneurs are also expected to reduce the environmental impact of their enterprises by implementing online monitoring systems to prevent environmental violations and atmospheric emissions, as well as adopting the principles of a circular economy ("7R") in their production processes.
What privileges does the status offer?
Business entities that achieve the "Green Entrepreneur" status will be given priority on the "Schaffof qurilish" platform. They will also be exempt from environmental inspections for a specific period and will receive support to enter international markets. Moreover, they will be recommended for the "Tabiat himoyachisi” (Defender of Nature) badge, and they will also be awarded additional points within the framework of the Sustainability Rating of Business Entities.
International Experience
In France, the Law on Energy Transition for Green Growth has played a key role in fostering green entrepreneurship. This law offers tax breaks and subsidies to startups involved in renewable energy, waste recycling, and energy efficiency.
Companies can also access loans and grants for the development of green technologies through the BPI France platform. Regional initiatives further support the development of renewable energy infrastructure and the launch of local environmental projects. Notable examples include Back Market, an electronics resale and recycling platform, and Eco-Compteur, a developer of pedestrian and bicycle traffic monitoring systems aimed at reducing the carbon footprint.

The launch of the "Green Entrepreneur" platform will enhance the effectiveness of measures aimed at achieving sustainable and economic growth within the framework of Uzbekistan’s strategy for transitioning to a "green" economy. It will also promote the broader adoption of renewable energy sources and resource conservation across all sectors of the economy.
