The action is organized on the occasion of the International Day without Paper in order to reduce the use of paper products and their rational use. 

As part of the events, special attention will be paid to the conservation of trees, reducing the consumption of paper produced from them, the widespread use of recycled materials in furniture production, and promoting the replacement of paper with information and communication technologies.

There will also be actions aimed at further development of the raw material base of paper production and recycling of paper waste.

For reference: The International Day Without Paper campaign was organized by the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) in 2016 in order to promote the rational use of paper products. According to the Association, recycling 1 ton of paper saves 17 trees, 26,000 liters of water, 3 cubic meters of land, 240 liters of fuel, and 4,000 kWh of electricity.
