At the "Ecological Hour" organized at secondary school No. 240 of Yunusabad district, the center's specialists paid special attention to environmental protection and respect for nature. In particular, it was noted that garbage should not be dumped in the wrong places, but it should be sorted and sent for recycling, which in turn is important for the development of the waste management economy in our country.
During the lesson, students were told how long it takes for waste to decompose, which causes irreparable damage to nature if it is dumped in the wrong places. For example, a glass bottle decomposes -1 million years, a plastic eggplant for drinks — 450 years, a disposable diaper — 500-800 years, an aluminum can — 80-200 years, a battery — 100 years, rubber shoes — 50-80 years, a plastic cup — 50 years, leather shoes — 25-40 years, wood — 10-15 years, tobacco products — 10-12 years old, woolen clothes — 1-5 years old, milk carton – 5 years old. Therefore, it was emphasized that waste should definitely be dumped in specially designated areas.
Various visual materials and videos on environmental education aroused the interest of students.
The educational training sessions "Ecological Hour" are continuing. They contribute to the strengthening of environmental education and upbringing in public educational institutions and the formation of environmental knowledge and skills among students.
