The use of electric vehicles has several advantages for the environment. In particular, one electric vehicle used throughout the year prevents air pollution of an average of 1,500 kg (CO2) of carbon dioxide.
The introduction of electric vehicles can significantly contribute to reducing emissions of harmful substances and improving air quality in cities. Electric vehicles do not produce exhaust gases, which directly reduces the level of pollutants in the air such as carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter (PM).

For comparison, each car running on gasoline, when running 15 thousand km, emits up to 3 tons of carbon dioxide, 93 kg of hydrocarbons, 0.5 tons of carbon monoxide, and about 30 kg of nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere. For cars powered by diesel fuel, these figures are slightly higher.

When charging electric vehicles, solar, wind, or other renewable energy sources are used, which significantly reduces damage compared to cars powered by gas or gasoline, which means that the total amount of carbon emissions is significantly reduced.

The introduction of environmentally friendly zones, where only electric vehicles are allowed, will reduce the level of pollution in urban centers. Improving air quality can lead to a reduction in morbidity.

In addition, the transition to electric vehicles supports the concept of sustainable development, contributing to the creation of a clean and safe city.

In general, the introduction of electric vehicles is an important step towards improving urban air quality and reducing harmful emissions. This will lead not only to an improvement in the environmental situation but also to an improvement in the quality of life in cities.
