Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Makhsudov met with the newly appointed Canadian Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Christopher Dagan to discuss bilateral cooperation in digitalization, telecommunications and IT.  

During the meeting, Ambassador Dagan commended Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms in the digital sector, acknowledging the country’s progress in digital transformation and technological development. 
 
The discussion focused on expanding cooperation in the digital economy, IT education, and the export of IT services. The parties explored ways to enhance collaboration with Canadian companies and advance existing partnerships.  

Ambassador Dagan expressed Canada's interest in introducing leading Canadian IT companies to Uzbekistan's business environment, highlighting the favorable conditions created for the industry.He also affirmed the Canadian Embassy’s commitment to facilitating information exchange, knowledge sharing, and broader digital cooperation.  

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue dialogue on strengthening digital partnerships and deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Canada.
