Ministerial roundtable on “Sustainable Development by 2045” held at world government summit

As part of the World Government Summit in Dubai, a Ministerial Roundtable on Sustainable Development by 2045 (XDGs 2045) was convened, bringing together government officials and experts to discuss key global challenges. Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov participated in the event.
Discussions focused on digital technologies, IT education, the impact of artificial intelligence on economic growth and employment, and the potential of remote work.
In his address, Minister Sherzod Shermatov outlined Uzbekistan’s initiatives to enhance education quality through digital solutions and shared future plans in this area. He also highlighted prospects for innovation in public administration, including efforts to create new job opportunities for skilled professionals in government agencies, enhance the qualifications of civil servants, introduce electronic platforms for performance evaluation, and integrate artificial intelligence into administrative processes.
In addition, he stressed the importance of developing AI-driven industries, promoting startups, and encouraging innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
The roundtable also explored strategies for achieving SDGs 2045 through deeper integration into the global economy and the adoption of technological advancements. International experts acknowledged Uzbekistan’s digital transformation efforts and recent policy reforms, recognizing their impact on the country’s modernization.
