Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, met with Muhammad Al-Quwari, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar and Chairman of International Gateway Technology, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.  

The meeting focused on advancing collaboration in IT outsourcing and telecommunications, with the goal of creating high-paying employment opportunities for young professionals in Uzbekistan.  

Key topics included the development of digital infrastructure, the improvement of telecommunication services, and strategies to attract foreign investment to enhance the growth of Uzbekistan's digital economy.  

The discussion highlighted Uzbekistan’s proficient professionals in the IT sector and explored the potential for expanding IT outsourcing services. Such efforts aim to position Uzbekistan more prominently in the global market while encouraging greater involvement from Qatari companies.  

Both sides exchanged perspectives on potential joint ventures and future investment opportunities, expressing confidence in strengthening cooperation through the adoption of advanced technologies and the improvement of digital services in telecommunications. The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to promoting sustainable and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
