A delegation from Andijan Region held a meeting with representatives of South Korean companies U&K Global Co., Ltd. and MODEUN ELEVATOR CO., LTD. The discussions focused on establishing a modern elevator manufacturing industry in the region, attracting foreign investment, and developing the production of high-value-added products.

The central topic of the negotiations was the proposed establishment of the Andijan–Korea Elevator Cluster, with a total project value of USD 200 million. The initiative envisages setting up production facilities for modern elevators, escalators, and their components.

One of the project's key priorities is the localization of production processes. In particular, the project aims to achieve a localization rate of at least 70 percent. This could create opportunities for local enterprises to manufacture essential components, increase the share of import-substituting products, and strengthen industrial cooperation among domestic manufacturers.

The project is expected to help advance mechanical engineering and industrial manufacturing in Andijan Region, introduce modern technologies and international expertise into local production, and create new employment opportunities.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the project's production capabilities, ways to attract investment, and practical steps toward advancing their cooperation.

Further cooperation in this area is expected to strengthen Andijan Region's industrial capacity and contribute to the development of a modern elevator manufacturing sector in the region.
