A career, employment and entrepreneurship fair titled “Kelajak tadbirkori – 2026” (“Entrepreneur of the Future – 2026”) was held at Andijan State University.
The event was organised in cooperation with the Central Bank, JSC Uzmilliybank, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment, the Youth Affairs Agency, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Andijan City Administration.
At the opening ceremony, Andijan State University Rector and Professor Bakhtiyorjon Akbaraliyev and Elmurod Khoshimov, Director of the “Kelajakka qadam” (“Step into the Future”) Centre at JSC Uzmilliybank, addressed participants.
The speakers emphasised that promoting youth employment, particularly among university graduates, and providing comprehensive support for their initiatives and ideas are among the key priorities of state policy. They also highlighted the extensive measures being implemented across the country in this area.
Government departments, enterprises, organisations and institutions from across the region, together with private-sector employers, participated in the fair and presented their available vacancies.
“The main objective of the fair is to promote employment among young people and university graduates, help them find jobs in their respective fields, guide them towards modern professions, and support their entrepreneurial initiatives. I am confident that many young people will take advantage of these opportunities, secure employment in their chosen fields, and receive the advice and practical assistance they need to start their own businesses,” said Elmurod Khoshimov, Director of the “Kelajakka qadam” Centre.
Technical schools, general education schools and non-governmental educational institutions from across the region also presented their available job openings.
“We are offering vacancies for teachers of Russian, mathematics, primary education and several other subjects. We have interviewed many graduates seeking employment and informed them about our requirements and opportunities. More than 20 graduates of Andijan State University and the Pedagogical Institute expressed interest in joining our team,” said Fakhriddin Ikromov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at Boburiy Private School in Andijan.
The Uzbek–South Korean joint venture Uz-Semyung Ko, based in Andijan, participated in the fair with approximately 200 vacancies, including positions in its pressing and welding workshops and other departments. The opportunities attracted interest from graduates of Andijan State Technical Institute, as well as young people trained in relevant specialisations at technical and vocational schools.
“I am studying economics at the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies. This job fair has created valuable employment opportunities for me and many other young people. I intend to choose a suitable position and do my best to secure employment,” said Alisher Asqaraliyev, a fourth-year student.
Safir-Textile, an enterprise based in Jalakuduk District, also participated, offering 50 vacancies. The company invited applications primarily from women with sewing skills or an interest in working in the garment industry. Interested candidates were provided with information about working conditions and employment opportunities.
As part of the fair, an open dialogue was held with university graduates, attended by the Director of the “Kelajakka qadam” Centre at JSC Uzmilliybank, banking specialists from the region, the head of the SAM BRIGHT LINE family enterprise, and representatives of employers and other organisations.
During the discussion, participants reviewed graduates’ business projects and entrepreneurial initiatives. Practical advice and recommendations were provided on implementing business ideas, making effective use of financial resources, and establishing a competitive position in the labour market.
In addition, under the “Kelajak tadbirkori” (“Entrepreneur of the Future”) project, a group of young entrepreneurs and university graduates seeking to launch or expand their businesses received bank vouchers to apply for preferential loans.
“I have established a logistics business in Andijan. To support my project, Uzmilliybank allocated a loan of 500 million soums. I plan to use these funds to expand my business and create new jobs,” said young entrepreneur Abdurauf Rahmatullayev.
The project aims to turn promising business ideas into reality, develop young people’s entrepreneurial potential and create new jobs, thereby contributing to graduate employment.
Throughout the fair, specialists from the regional office of Uzmilliybank, other banks operating in the region, and the Department of Poverty Reduction and Employment provided graduates with detailed information on starting a business, applying for and processing loans, and understanding labour legislation.
The event served as an important platform for expanding young people’s career prospects, facilitating employment and supporting promising entrepreneurial initiatives.
