As part of efforts to develop the tourism potential and service sector of the region, a modern tourism street operating 24/7 has been established along Amir Temur Avenue in Andijan. The new destination provides residents and visitors with comfortable opportunities for leisure and entertainment while contributing to urban beautification and further enhancing the city’s modern architectural and urban landscape.
Developed as part of a project with a total value of 30 billion soums, the tourism street stretches for 0.5 kilometres. It features spacious pedestrian and bicycle paths, modern selfie and photo zones, open-air sports facilities, and a range of other amenities designed to provide greater comfort for residents and tourists.
The street boasts a modern and distinctive architectural appearance and is already home to leading restaurant and café brands such as “Feed Up”, “Giotto” and “Violette”. A seven-storey automated parking facility equipped with a lift system has also been constructed to accommodate visitors’ vehicles.
By the end of the current year, more than 50 retail and service outlets are expected to become operational along the tourism street. The launch of the project has already created 100 new jobs. The annual turnover of the retail and service establishments is projected to reach 20.4 billion soums, while budget revenues are expected to amount to 2.4 billion soums.
The tourism street is expected to welcome between 5,000 and 6,000 visitors every day. Residents and tourists will have access to uninterrupted retail, dining and other services around the clock.
The new tourism street is set to become more than just a leisure destination for the people of Andijan. It is expected to develop into one of the city’s most vibrant and attractive locations, drawing both domestic and international tourists.
The project is therefore creating new opportunities for tourism, entrepreneurship and the service sector, while contributing to a more attractive urban environment and strengthening Andijan’s image as a modern and welcoming tourist destination.
