Just 5 kilometers from the city of Andijan, amid the picturesque hills, a new chapter in the region’s rich history is taking shape. A major new educational and cultural complex dedicated to the legacy of the great military commander, statesman and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur is planned to be created here — the “Baburids Memorial.”

The complex will feature a spacious area, modern infrastructure connected to a circular road, and a 26-meter elevation leading from the entrance to the memorial center, symbolically guiding visitors toward a spiritual ascent. At the top, a majestic statue of Babur will stand overlooking the complex.

The heart of the complex will be an interactive museum, whose exterior design resembles an open book. Here, every step will reveal another page of history.

The museum’s artifact hall will showcase ancient manuscripts, military equipment from the era, household items and, of course, a copy of Babur’s remarkable memoir, the “Baburnama.”

The immersive route will allow visitors to feel as though they are stepping into Babur’s life and destiny. The latest technologies — including 5D graphics, video projections, lighting and artistic effects — will bring key events and turning points in his life to life.

An audio guide available in several languages through headphones will allow visitors to take an independent journey through the pages of history.

The “Baburids Memorial” will become a new educational and cultural space that combines the legacy of a great ancestor with modern technologies, offering visitors an opportunity to experience and better understand history.
