Social Protection: Women to Receive Training in Various Professions

The event was attended by deputies of district and city Councils of People’s Deputies, specialists from family and women’s affairs departments, representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations, and members of the wider community.
Speaking at the event, Nasibakhon Toychiyeva, Head of the Secretariat of the Regional Council of People’s Deputies, highlighted the measures being implemented in Uzbekistan to provide social support to women, promote their employment, provide vocational training, and help them establish sustainable sources of income. She also emphasized the importance of the new project.
The project is being implemented by the Andijan Regional Division of the International Association of Businesswomen “Tadbirkor ayol” with financial support from the Public Fund for Support of Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As part of the project, a center will be established to provide women with a safe and comfortable environment for vocational training, employment support, and assistance in developing their own sources of income. The center will offer free education and practical support.
Dilfuza Ishanova, Head of the Andijan Regional Division of the International Association of Businesswomen “Tadbirkor ayol” and project implementer, spoke about the opportunities that will be created for women through the initiative. She particularly focused on vocational training, employment opportunities, and legal and psychological support.
Zarifaxon Ahmedova, Head of the Andijan Regional Division of the Public Fund under the Oliy Majlis, also took part in the event. She provided participants with information on grants, social contracts and subsidies allocated by the Fund.
It was noted that this year, the Fund has allocated 2.75 billion soums in the form of grants and social contracts to finance a number of socially significant projects implemented by non-governmental non-profit organizations and civil society institutions in Andijan Region.
The new center will provide women with free training in modern and in-demand professions, while also implementing measures aimed at promoting their employment and increasing their economic activity.
At the conclusion of the event, the project implementer was officially presented with the relevant certificate.
