Concerted efforts are being consistently implemented in the Andijan region to protect public health, focusing on the prevention and early detection of HIV infection, as well as providing high-quality medical care to patients. The official inauguration of the comprehensively reconstructed and modernized main building of the Andijan Regional AIDS Center stands as a solid testament to these ongoing reforms.
The opening ceremony was attended by officials from the Regional Health Department, healthcare veterans, the center’s staff, and public representatives. Speakers at the event emphasized the state's particular focus on constructing tailored facilities for anti-AIDS centers, strengthening their material and technical infrastructure, and upgrading them with state-of-the-art medical equipment to elevate the standard of public healthcare.
The extensive renovation and construction works were carried out with high precision by "Bunyodkor Muboshir" LLC, funded through an investment by the Asian Development Bank exceeding 12 billion UZS.


The newly optimized facility provides premium conditions for medical professionals to operate efficiently and deliver top-tier preventative and diagnostic services. The center's laboratories have been fully equipped with cutting-edge medical devices capable of conducting more than 20 types of complex laboratory investigations. This advanced technological integration ensures the highly precise and early detection of infections.
Currently, the institution is staffed by 30 highly qualified specialized physicians and 72 mid-level medical professionals. Backed by a modern material-technical base and advanced diagnostic methodologies, the newly renovated Andijan Regional AIDS Center is poised to significantly enhance HIV prevention initiatives and the overall quality of specialized healthcare across the region.
