Today, at 9:20 a.m., the No. 730 next-generation electric train departed from Tashkent Central Railway Station, successfully completing its inaugural journey from Tashkent to Andijan. Traveling at high speed via the Angren, Pop, Kokand and Margilan stations, the modern electric train arrived at Andijan Railway Station at 1:35 p.m.
The arrival of the new train was marked by a festive reception on the station platform. Representatives of the public, labor veterans, community elders, young people and railway industry specialists gathered to welcome the inaugural service with great enthusiasm.
Built around innovative technological solutions, the modern electric train consists of four comfortable carriages and has a total capacity of 357 passengers. The train incorporates modern solutions designed to provide passengers with a high level of comfort, safety and quality service throughout their journey.
One of the key advantages of the new service is the significant reduction in travel time. Previously, journeys between Tashkent and Andijan could take 6–7 hours. With the introduction of the new electric train, passengers can now travel between the capital and Andijan in just 4 hours and 15 minutes.
The launch of the modern high-speed electric train on the “Tashkent – Andijan – Tashkent” route represents an important step toward strengthening transport and logistics links between the capital and Andijan Region, improving the standards of passenger transportation, and further developing economic, social and cultural ties between the regions.
The new railway service is also expected to contribute to the further development of Andijan Region’s tourism potential by providing domestic and international travelers with greater access to the region and creating broader opportunities for safe, comfortable and modern travel.
