On this occasion, a ceremonial event dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year was held at Andijan State Medical Institute.

The event was attended by Andijan Region Governor Shuhratbek Abdurahmonov, who extended his sincere congratulations to professors, teaching staff, employees and students of all higher education institutions across the region on the occasion of Knowledge Day and the start of the new academic year.

As part of the ceremony, a cultural programme prepared by talented young people and students was presented. It featured poetry and musical performances celebrating the Motherland, peace and the enthusiasm and aspirations of the younger generation.

Following the ceremony, the regional governor conducted an “Independence Lesson” for students.

During the open and sincere dialogue, Shuhratbek Abdurahmonov emphasised that peace and stability prevailing in the country are among the greatest blessings for the people.

In his address, the regional governor highlighted the wide-ranging reforms being implemented in the education system, noting that the development of higher education, improvement of the quality of education and creation of modern learning and social conditions for students have become among the priority areas of state policy.

It was also emphasised that equipping young people with modern knowledge and professional skills, while supporting their intellectual potential and initiatives, is an important factor in the country’s continued development.

The beginning of the new academic year marks a new stage in the activities of higher education institutions across the region, aimed at further improving the quality of education, creating favourable conditions for students to acquire in-depth knowledge and preparing highly qualified specialists for the future.
