Andijan regional administration

A seminar on preventing and effectively combating corruption, as well as ensuring legality, openness and transparency in the activities of public authorities, was held at the Main Department of Economy and Finance of Andijan Region.

The event was attended by the department’s managers and specialists, as well as employees of district and city economy and finance departments.

The seminar focused on the negative impact of corruption on social development, mechanisms for preventing corruption, and the responsibility of public officials and citizens in combating corruption.

Participants were briefed on the key provisions of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Combating Corruption”, corruption-related concepts, the responsibilities of authorized bodies and liability issues.

Particular attention was paid to ensuring openness and transparency in the activities of public authorities, as well as the early identification and prevention of corruption risks.

At the end of the seminar, participants put forward proposals to improve the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts and received detailed answers from specialists to their questions.
