The commissioning ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ulugnor District administration, officials of the Naryn-Karadarya Basin Irrigation Systems Authority, sector specialists, veterans, community representatives and local residents.

During the event, the large-scale measures being implemented in Uzbekistan to develop the water management sector, modernize irrigation networks, ensure the rational and efficient use of water resources, and improve water supply to agricultural land and household plots were highlighted.

Efficient water resource management and rational use of water are essential for ensuring sustainable agricultural productivity, meeting the needs of water consumers in a timely manner, and supporting the socio-economic development of local communities.

Until now, the Ulugnor-Mazgilsay Irrigation System Administration did not have a separate administrative building. In response to this need, a building previously belonging to the Greater Andijan Main Canal Administration was allocated to the Ulugnor-Mazgilsay Irrigation System Administration and underwent major renovation.

Following the renovation, the building was equipped with the necessary facilities to ensure effective working conditions for employees, receive water consumers, process appeals and organize day-to-day operations in accordance with modern requirements.

The commissioning of the renovated facility will help improve the efficiency of the administration, strengthen its engagement with water consumers and further enhance water resource management across the service area.

It is worth noting that the Ulugnor-Mazgilsay Irrigation System Administration provides water supply services to nearly 80,000 hectares of land across the Oltinkol, Balikchi, Shahrikhan, Ulugnor and Boston districts of Andijan Region.

The administration plays an important role in ensuring reliable water supply to agricultural land and other water consumers across these territories.

Working now in improved and modern conditions, the administration’s team will continue its efforts to ensure efficient use of water resources, improve water delivery processes and provide higher-quality services to water consumers.
