In particular, a festive event marking the start of the new academic year was held at General Education School No. 13 in Andijan city. The event was attended by Andijan Region Governor Shuhratbek Abdurahmonov.

The regional governor warmly congratulated the school administration and teaching staff, students, parents and representatives of the mahalla community on the beginning of the new academic year, as well as on the recently celebrated Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the ceremony, special attention was paid to the high priority given in recent years to the education and upbringing of the younger generation in Uzbekistan. The participants highlighted the large-scale reforms being implemented in the education sector, as well as the modern conditions and broad opportunities being created for students to receive quality education.

Particular emphasis was placed on fostering young people in the spirit of patriotism, love and devotion to their homeland, respect for national and universal human values, as well as encouraging their interest in learning and developing their intellectual potential.

The importance of raising a well-rounded, educated and proactive younger generation capable of making a meaningful contribution to the future development of the country was also emphasized.

As part of the ceremony, Presidential gifts were solemnly presented to first-grade students who were entering school for the first time.

“Independence and Future Lessons” were also organized at educational institutions throughout the region. During these lessons, students were provided with information about the historical significance of Uzbekistan’s independence, the country’s current development path, and the broad opportunities and prospects available to young people.

The beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year was welcomed at educational institutions across Andijan Region in a festive atmosphere, with new goals, aspirations and a strong commitment to achieving higher results.
