Major development projects underway in Pakhtaabad ahead of Uzbekistan’s 35th Independence Anniversary: results presented during a press tour

The press tour was organized by the Pakhtaabad District Hokimiyat in cooperation with the Andijan Regional Branch of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan. Representatives of mass media, heads of press services of state and non-governmental organizations, and bloggers took part in the event.
During the press tour, participants reviewed the implementation of projects in education, transport infrastructure, housing construction, trade and services.
More than 240,000 people live in 68 mahallas of Pakhtaabad district. A range of projects are being implemented to improve living conditions, upgrade engineering and transport infrastructure, modernize social facilities and create a modern urban environment.
Educational infrastructure is being upgraded
Participants first visited General Secondary School No. 2 in Kashkar mahalla and reviewed the reconstruction of the existing school building and construction of a new educational facility.
The school currently has around 1,300 students. Under a project worth 15.576 billion soums, the main educational building is being reconstructed and an additional 450-seat building is being constructed.
Upon completion, the project will provide improved conditions for students and teachers and expand the school’s capacity to organize education in a single shift.
Mahalla infrastructure is being comprehensively modernized
The press tour participants also visited Teraktagi mahalla, where construction and landscaping works are underway on Kamolot and Muqanna streets.
The works include asphalt paving of roads, installation of modern street lighting, benches and waste bins, as well as the development of service facilities and a mahalla community area.
In Nodirabegim mahalla, a comprehensive project is being implemented to modernize infrastructure and improve living conditions under the “Mahalla in the Image of New Uzbekistan” concept.
A 28-billion-soum road project is underway
A major transport infrastructure project is also being implemented in the district.
As part of a project worth 28 billion soums, a 4.7-kilometre section of the 60V-127 road is being reconstructed into a four-lane road, passing through the territories of Zokirjon Habibiy, Nodirabegim and Guliston-Pastkishlok mahallas.
The project also includes modern night lighting, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and the development of “green areas”.
A new “Eco Bazaar” is being established
A new project to expand trade and service infrastructure is underway in Nodirabegim mahalla.
The Samo LLC is developing the “Eco Bazaar” trade complex on an area of approximately 4.5 hectares. The project is expected to create new opportunities for entrepreneurs, expand the range of services and improve service quality for residents.
A $15 million housing project is being implemented
A major modern housing project is being implemented by Chinese investors in Ma’rifat mahalla.
The $15 million investment project envisages the construction of 10 modern multi-storey residential buildings on a 1.95-hectare site.
Construction is being carried out with the participation of specialists from the Chinese company YUAN TONG MEGA CONSTRUCTION.
The project will contribute to expanding the district’s modern housing stock, meeting housing needs and transforming the architectural appearance of the area.
A preschool education facility is being reconstructed
Participants also visited Specialized Multidisciplinary Preschool Education Organization No. 18 in Shomat mahalla, where reconstruction works are underway.
The project is valued at 6.15 billion soums and is aimed at improving the conditions required for the educational and developmental activities of the institution.
During the press tour, journalists and bloggers directly reviewed the progress of the projects and received detailed answers from responsible officials and specialists regarding the objectives, financing, implementation status and expected outcomes.
The projects being implemented in Pakhtaabad district are aimed at upgrading educational and transport infrastructure, developing modern housing and trade facilities, transforming the appearance of mahallas and creating a more comfortable and dignified living environment for residents.
