Andijan State Technical Institute has been cooperating with North China University of Technology since 2019. To date, 22 students have successfully completed joint educational programmes and received diplomas from higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and China.
As part of the next stage of cooperation, the institute plans to launch a joint 2+2 bachelor’s degree programme with North China University of Technology. Under the programme, students will study for the first two years at Andijan State Technical Institute and complete the following two years at the partner university in China, providing an opportunity to receive diplomas from higher education institutions of both countries.
The new joint programme is expected to admit students in Information Systems and Technologies and Mechatronics and Robotics.
In addition, the establishment of a Chinese Language Centre at Andijan State Technical Institute is planned for this year. The centre will help students develop advanced Chinese language skills, participate in academic exchange programmes and expand opportunities to study at leading higher education institutions in China.
Another important area of international cooperation is the professional development of academic staff and the introduction of advanced international experience into the educational process.
In particular, a group of professors and lecturers from Andijan State Technical Institute participated in an international professional development programme on “Key Technologies of New Energy Vehicles”, held in Hefei, China.
During the programme, participants strengthened their theoretical and practical knowledge of modern electric and hybrid vehicle design, power batteries and related technologies, intelligent transportation systems, vehicle diagnostics and technical maintenance.
The practical sessions covered advanced approaches to diagnosing new energy vehicles, operating and programming industrial robots, as well as conducting technical inspections of vehicles.
As part of the programme, representatives of the institute also visited BYD and CHANGAN automobile manufacturing facilities in Hefei, where they explored modern electric vehicle production technologies, efficient manufacturing processes and innovative solutions.
The knowledge and practical experience gained through the programme create opportunities to integrate advanced international practices into the educational process, align engineering education with the needs of modern industry and strengthen research activities.
Thus, cooperation between Andijan State Technical Institute and North China University of Technology encompasses joint education and dual-degree opportunities for students, international professional development for academic staff, and the advancement of the institute’s research and innovation capacity.
The practical expansion of international cooperation is contributing to the training of competitive specialists for modern engineering sectors, the introduction of advanced international experience into education and science, and the further international integration of higher education in Andijan Region.
