An expanded seminar dedicated to further improving the system of public audit and financial control was held at the Andijan city khokimiyat, with the participation of responsible staff from social sector institutions and budget organizations of the region.
At the event, speeches were delivered by the regional representative of the Accounts Chamber, the First Deputy Governor of the region, as well as officials from the economy, finance, and treasury systems. The seminar thoroughly discussed the ongoing work and future priority tasks based on the requirements of Presidential Decree No. PF-252 dated December 18, 2025.
As noted, starting from April 1 of this year, the activities of chief inspectors of the Accounts Chamber have been established in republican and local executive authorities. This institution plays an important role in ensuring compliance with budget legislation, assessing risks in the use of public funds, increasing transparency in public procurement, and eliminating corruption factors.
During the seminar, special attention was paid to the introduction of digital technologies. In particular, it was emphasized that a significant portion of audit activities is carried out remotely through the automated information system “Remote Audit,” which contributes to improving the effectiveness of control and reducing the human factor.
It was also noted that there is a need to establish “Situational Centers” within regional departments of economy and finance, to identify risks at an early stage and strengthen preventive measures.
The seminar also focused on increasing local budget revenues, reducing the share of the shadow economy, and ensuring the effective use of funds allocated within the framework of state programs. The timely and high-quality implementation of infrastructure projects was identified as one of the priority tasks.
At the conclusion of the seminar, specific instructions were given to strengthen control over the targeted and efficient use of budget funds, increase the personal responsibility of management personnel, and prevent violations.
