Dear residents of the district,
As you are aware, within the framework of the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ–1 dated January 5, 2026, as well as the tasks set for creating a safe environment and ensuring public security in Tashkent city, systematic work is being carried out in the mahallas of Yangihayot District.
During the past three months of the current year, the Prosecutor’s Office of Yangihayot District, in cooperation with the district Department of Internal Affairs and other relevant authorities, has conducted large-scale organizational and practical measures aimed at stabilizing the criminogenic situation, preventing crimes, ensuring their timely detection and solving, maintaining public order, and guaranteeing citizens’ safety.
According to the results, a total of 165 crimes were recorded in the district during the first three months of 2026. Of these, 52 (31.5%) were preventable crimes, 112 (67.8%) were detected crimes, and 236 were related to information technology offenses. Compared to the same period in 2025, the overall crime rate increased by 24 cases or 17.0%; however, preventable crimes decreased by 5 cases or 8.8%. At the same time, the crime detection rate improved by 29 cases or 34.9%.
Notably, since the beginning of the year, no cases of robbery or vehicle theft have been recorded. Incidents of intentional grievous bodily harm, theft, and hooliganism have significantly decreased.
Analysis shows that crimes committed by minors decreased by 100%, among youth by 28.6%, and among previously convicted individuals by 33.3%.
Furthermore, in mahallas with complex criminogenic situations, targeted studies are being conducted based on a scientific-practical approach, identifying the causes of offenses and implementing effective mechanisms to eliminate them. This approach is already yielding positive results.
As a result of the measures taken, 21 out of 30 mahallas (70.0%) have been classified as “green” zones, 7 (23.3%) as “yellow,” and 2 (6.7%) as “red.”
Dear citizens,
Ensuring public safety is not only the responsibility of law enforcement agencies but also a shared duty of all of us. We urge you to respect the law, not remain indifferent to offenses, and actively participate in preventive measures.
Peace and tranquility are our greatest wealth.
Respectfully,
Prosecutor of Yangihayot District
M. E. Shukurullayeva
