Inspection for Control in electric power industry, oil products, and gas usage at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

A meeting with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) was held at the Inspectorate. During the meeting, the parties discussed the next steps related to the Inspectorate’s role as a verifier under the “Electricity Distribution System Modernization Program” in Uzbekistan.

The program is being implemented through a results-based lending (RBL) mechanism. In this regard, the parties paid particular attention to preparations for verification activities, the development of an appropriate methodology, and the effective organization of the relevant processes.

The parties also planned technical assistance activities aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of the Inspectorate’s staff in the field of verification within the framework of the project.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to ensure the consistent implementation of the identified tasks and further strengthen mutual cooperation in this area.
