A meeting chaired by D. Isakulov, Head of the Inspectorate (Uzenergoinspeksiya), was held to analyze the organization’s performance based on the findings of a study conducted by the Business Ombudsman’s Office.
The meeting focused extensively on business inspection procedures, as well as the rights and responsibilities of both entrepreneurs and inspectors.
In particular, discussions centered on disciplinary measures imposed on 43 Inspectorate employees who failed to comply with established regulations during inspection processes in 2025.
During the meeting, detailed briefings were delivered on key priorities for the future. These included conducting inspections strictly within the legal framework, ensuring full protection of entrepreneurs’ rights, complying with procedures for notifying authorized bodies prior to inspections, and implementing effective preventive measures.
Senior officials of regional branches who demonstrated negligence and failed to properly organize field operations were issued strict warnings.
Special attention was also given to the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts within the sector and to upcoming strategic objectives.
Furthermore, participants discussed accelerating measures aimed at ensuring the efficient and rational use of energy resources, preventing potential emergencies at power facilities, properly organizing maintenance operations, and curbing illegal energy consumption.
The meeting concluded with a critical, point-by-point review of the Inspectorate’s performance and shortcomings, followed by specific directives issued to regional branches.
